“Rose is one of the best creative professional/managers I’ve ever worked with. She is a joy to work with and has superior process and project management skills that leverage and enhance the demanding Merrill Lynch creative workflow. Being exceedingly dedicated, remarkably focused, organized and detail oriented, she continually finds efficiencies that improve the creative process, increasing the department’s productivity. Her ability to multi-task and manage the deliverables of her team is outstanding. Rose effectively bridges the gap between account services, upper management and creative as she sees the big picture and brings that into her, and her team’s, work. She fully understands all sides of that delicate balance and always acts in the best interest of both. Rose is THE go-to-gal with the can-do attitude and is our rock-solid creative calm in the storm. She is extremely well-liked, highly respected by the entire staff and has outstanding people skills. Rose is an incredible asset to any organization and I give her my full endorsement.”
“Rose is extremely detailed orientated and responsive. She is always willing to help and goes the extra mile to make sure things are done accurately and in a timely fashion. Rose always has a positive attitude and she works well in hectic, fast paced environments. Rose is a pleasure to work with!”
“Rose is a valued employee. She is loyal, detail oriented and works well with others. Rose was a dedicated employee at Merrill Lynch for 9 years and during that time received nothing but positive feedback from colleagues and business partners. She was able to handle a large number of projects and stay calm and focused to get the job done. I would recommend Rose and would be glad to expand on my recommendation if necessary.”
“For eight years I worked with Rose in the marketing department of one of the world’s leading financial services organizations. During that time I had come to depend on her as an essential part of a team that produced a variety of product campaigns and print collateral, often within accelerated and demanding time frames.
As an editor who is attentive to style and detail, I was happy when Rose was assigned to my projects and, in fact, often sought her out as the designer of choice for many of them. I found her able to convey difficult concepts and ideas successfully through graphic design while maintaining both a broad-picture brand view and a piece’s individuality. An added bonus for me was her ability to be attentive to the textual intricacies of a piece that other designers often viewed as secondary or unimportant.
In addition to her talents as a designer, I found Rose to be highly organized and efficient. Whenever I had a question about the group’s history, past campaigns or current processes, she either knew the answer or was quick to offer her assistance to find out. Rose’s demeanor was always pleasant, courteous and professional, even during the most trying times. A dedicated individual, she was more than willing to go above and beyond what was demanded of her.
It is my firm belief that Rose would be a valuable and desirable asset to any design or marketing team.”
“Rose rescued me through some knotty problems and situations in my two years (and counting) at Merrill Lynch. I continue to refer to her as ‘professor’, since she is far more knowledgeable and wise in the ways of graphic design than I ever hope to be, and she taught me much in our time together at Merrill. My background is ‘in the trenches’ finance and selling on Wall Street, so I don’t have a tremendous skill-set in expert graphic design. But as they say, ‘I know it when I see it’, and in the case of Rose’s design work and management efforts, I know I have seen excellent work...a careful appreciation of space, imagery and color, intimate knowledge of fonts, papers and design nuance, and a remarkable insistence on achieving the highest level of product output, regardless of how many hours it might take to get it right. To me, that’s a superlative graphic design artist.
In addition to her artistry, Rose carried out managerial and organizational responsibilities with confidence. She was a ‘go to’ person when methods, procedures or processes needed an expert evaluation (or fixing), and she was a friend and confidant of everyone I can think of in Merrill’s Creative Resources Group.
If I can add further insight to your thinking about working with or hiring Rose, I am most happy to do so. I have many good things to say about her.”
“As a Vice President/Manager of the Creative Resources Group at Merrill Lynch, I have worked with Rose over the last several years at our Hopewell, New Jersey location. Rose is a talented senior designer. She has helped design many types of collateral for us including brochures, fact sheets, presentations and financial advisor materials. She was also very helpful with maintaining our brand guidelines. In addition, she assisted me with creating better studio efficiencies and processes for prioritizing a high volume of work in order to meet tight deadlines. Rose is a true team player and very pleasant to work with.”
“I had the privilege of working with Rose for approximately 1-1/2 years at Merrill Lynch. Although Rose was the Studio Manager, she was often assigned specific high profile jobs, which gave me the good fortune to work directly with her. Rose understands that words and design are like music and lyrics; each complements the other (many designers never “get it”). It was always a joy to brainstorm with her, to consistently have my own work enhanced by the quality of her thinking, to create advertising that helped sell the Merrill Lynch advantage. Rose’s calm manner always had a positive impact on the studio and me. I tend to be “hyper,” but Rose always had a way of bringing me back to the work at hand. She is a valued colleague and friend, and anyone smart enough to hire her will find that she adds value in every possible way.”
“I had the pleasure of working with Rose for eight years. In that time I watched her grow from a talented intern with abundant potential to a competent and skilled professional. Rose was the go to person, not only for her colleges, but also those individuals partnering with her team in a various capacities. Her infinite patience, coupled with the natural ease of a born communicator would make her an asset in nearly every professional environment.”
“Rose is an exceptional Graphic Designer. She is conscientious, dedicated, and a true team-player. She has a thorough grasp on design and brand management and handles the pressures of a high-pressure, fast-paced environment with ease. Rose works well with all different personalities and always handles herself in a professional manner. I would recommend her for any role in which there is a need for an enthusiastic individual with a can-do attitude who understands the needs of the business.”
“I worked with Rose when we were both part of the Marketing Services department at Merrill Lynch. I could always count on Rose to understand the client’s requests and to work quickly and accurately. Even during times of turmoil or huge workflow, Rose was pleasant and helpful and seemed skilled beyond her years. I know she was one of the stand-out designers in her team and was recognized as such by the wider team and our clients.”
“Rose is a very conscientious and hard-working team player who brings a very positive can-do attitude, great focus, and attention to detail to each project. I could always depend on Rose to appropriately balance priorities and demands to manage projects to get each job done well. She was always a pleasure to work with.”
“In addition to being one of the most thorough, professional, organized people I’ve ever worked with, Rose Gross is a superb creative problem-solver. She listens closely, gets it, and invariably comes up with an elegant solution. Not only that, she is unfailingly pleasant to work with. Anyone who has a chance to work with her would be foolish to pass up the opportunity.”
“Rose is a very talented designer. Her work at Merrill Lynch was excellent. She is creative, hardworking, and dedicated. She would be an asset to any project and to any organization.”
“In the years I worked with Rose, I found her to be a talented, resourceful designer who always had a solution. For me, she was the go-to person whenever I needed a quick turnaround or the answer to a knotty problem. And she always accomplished tasks with a smile--even ones that probably deserved a grumble. I recommend Rose most highly.“
“I worked with Rose for many years and I have seen how talented she is. On many occasions I required her expertise to solve a particular problem, and each time she provided the solution. No matter how busy Rose was, she always managed to find time to help others. Her skill as a designer is first-rate. She also has superior organization skills, evidenced by her running a design studio. I recommend Rose highly and know she would be a great addition to any marketing team.”
“Rose is an extremely talented graphic designer and an exceptional project and traffic manager. I worked with Rose for 8 years and witnessed firsthand on numerous occasions how she was able to turn around amazing designs on deadlines that were virtually impossible to meet. She always had an overly full project planner but always came through not only on her projects but made sure the rest of the team managed to deliver on point as well. You would be well served to trust any graphics project to Rose for quality work and an unmatched commitment.”
“Rose is a dedicated worker who excels at staying focused on a job and understanding how it will get done, and done well. She is a people person and knows how to make everyone feel as they are contributing and being part of a team. She is an asset to any organization.”

"Rose is a superior designer, and quality manager of both people and projects. Our dependence on her for professional quality and superior results was rewarded again and again."
“As Editor in Chief of Merrill Lynch Private Client publications, I worked with Rose for more than six years creating marketing and editorial communications that reached the firm’s most valuable and affluent clients. Rose is a great creative force who is able to juggle many tasks simultaneously and understand them from the points of view of all stakeholders in the project. She has a great gift for drawing out and assimilating what is desired by the client and then executing in a manner that nails those client’s needs.
Rose also is highly organized and manages people as well as she manages creative projects. She is collegial, a pleasure to work with, and is always on time and budget. She understands the overall scope of a project, from its role in the strategy of the firm to cost parameters to the preferences of the end-users. Rose brings great creative solutions to seemingly inherently dull publications and insolvable campaigns. She inhales dry creative briefs and exhales brilliant executions. She works well in complex organizations and across organization lines and has a knack of making folks feel a part of a team. She is positive in attitude and personality and would be on my starting team tackling any design and publishing project. She would be my first team in any endeavor that is in need of a gifted designer and manager. I recommend her without hesitation and would hire her in a New York second.”
“At Merrill Lynch, Rose brought great creativity to both her design and management style. She is a talented designer, a skilled multi-tasker, and an engaging leader. In her role as Manager, her win/win management style kept the workflow running smoothly while creating a feeling of teamwork and great loyalty in the studio. Her vast design and leadership skills would be a great asset to any team.”
“Rose is a well-organized, dedicated, proactive team player. As Manager, she was always encouraging us to keep a positive attitude and would help out whenever needed. She was open to suggestion and willing to try new ideas. Overall, it was a pleasure to work with Rose and I highly recommend her.”
“Having worked in the same group as Rose, I can attest to her friendly personality and high quality of work. She is a fast learner, able to multi-task and always willing to share her business and departmental knowledge. Detail-oriented and able to manage a large number of projects, Rose would be an asset to any employer.”
“I worked with Rose at BlackRock from January to May of 2012. She was a tremendous asset to BlackRock. Rose consistently combed through each project that she was involved with to make sure that every “t” was crossed and “i” was dotted. Nothing gets by her; to say that Rose was thorough is an understatement. Rose is a trustworthy, reliable worker and I highly recommend her.”
“Rose is great! She’s reliable, punctual, high spirit and always raises her hand.”
“I have had the pleasure of meeting Rose when she was a student in my Public Speaking class here at DeVry University.
Rose proved herself to be an energetic student from the first day of class. She is eager to learn, and inquisitive. In the class, Rose was required to deliver a speech each week, and each week she challenged herself with incorporating additional tools and techniques that were discussed the week before into her speech. She never took the easy path. Her speeches were a role model for other students. As a speaker, she set an example for her fellow students. Rose’s speeches illustrated a command for the subject matter and it was clear that she put the time in to rehearse them as required. This hard work paid off as she received an A in the class; a grade not easily earned in my Public Speaking class.
Based on Rose’s grades, attendance and class participation, I’d rate Rose’s academic performance in my class as superior. Rose is a very good student and represents a fine example of what all students should strive to emulate. Rose is always interested in supporting her fellow classmates. For example, this year when we worked on our class group project, Rose was clearly the academic leader in her group, but stepped back and let others take the lead role and guided them to excel.
In conclusion, I would highly recommend Rose Zaino. If her performance in my class is any indication of how she performs in her other classes, Rose should be encouraged as much as possible and be given any financial support that can be granted for her to succeed. She will no doubt be an Alumnus that will make DeVry proud.”
“I have had the pleasure of meeting Rose when she was a student in my COMP100 Computer Applications for Business with Lab last July 2012. I found her able to convey difficult concepts and ideas successfully throughout the computer class. In addition to her talents as a student, I found Rose to be highly organized and efficient. Rose’s demeanor was always pleasant, courteous, and professional. A dedicated individual, she was more than willing to go above and beyond what was demanded of her.
Rose was exceedingly dedicated, remarkably focused, organized and, detail oriented. Rose’s academic performance in my class was superb, she obtain a perfect score in my class. She was more than willing to assist other students with their work. Rose is an excellent student and represents a fine example of what all students should strive to emulate.
In conclusion, I highly recommend Rose Zaino. If her performance in my class is any indication of how she performs in her other classes, Rose should be encouraged as much as possible and be given any financial support that can be granted for her to succeed here.”
